April 24- National Take your Kids to Work Day!

Thursday was National Take your Kids to Work Day. Gabriel's employer encouraged their employees to bring their kids. So he woke the boys up at 5:00 a.m. to accompany him to work. Christina stayed back with me. We got ready, cleaned up a bit and left for Vegas later that morning. We had some Starbucks and bagels for breakfast then hit up T.J. Maxx and a scrapbook store.

Here are my stinky boys. I love this picture because Gabriel is smiling! He doesn't smile in pictures [EVER!!!]

The boys are making sure the plans match the construction in-progress.
In the man-lift with daddy! [elevator that sticks out on the side of a high-rise building]. The had such a great time, they can't wait to do it again next year.
Joseph [with an Elvis smile], Christina, me, and Vinny.

I've been tagged!

So this awesome gal named Jamia "tagged" me. I met her at the Close to my Heart Regionals a few months ago.
Here are 7 weird/random things about me......
1. I love to watch the Godfather movies, Scarface, and 300 over and over and over again. By no means am I a violent or disturbed individual [ok, mabye a bit disturbed].
2. I hate roller coasters! So please don't think about taking me to Magic Mountain [roller coaster heaven] in California for my birthday.
3. I could live on rice and beans all my life. I'm Mexican...what can I say!
4. I like to wear my hair in different styles everyday. I like it curly, up, down, flat-ironed, with a bow or headband, and half up.
5. I love love love babies!!! I would love to have more babies myself but everyone knows that my hubby is fixed. And that was my decision. I wouldn't mind having 2 more back to back like the boys.
6. I don't make my bed everyday.
7. We went to see The Wiggles in concert 3 years ago and I really enjoyed the show. We were going to see them last month but they didn't come to Vegas. Oh well!!! Tomorrow I will post pictures of Vinny and Joey at work with dad for National Take your Kids to Work Day.

Water Bottle Pouch & Kindergarten Registration

For some reason, I am so exhausted today. Since I haven't blogged in a while, I forced myself to write up an entry. I've been working hard on my scrapbooks lately. So I decided I needed to find a project that's not really related to putting pictures together with some cutsie paper. So I browsed the internet and found this project. It didn't have instructions, but by looking at it, I eye-balled it and came up with this water bottle pouch. Its perfect for co-workers, friends, birthday parties, etc...........

The pouch with one of those fruit punch mix packets.

Thinking of you card I came up with for a swap I'm doing.

I registered this little guy for Kindergarten on Monday. He's so excited and I am sad! All my babies will be in school now....Monday through Friday starting at the end of August. His lump is totally gone! Its a miracle!!!!!!

Surgery CANCELLED!!!

We just wanted everyone to know that surgery for Joseph has been cancelled! Every morning, since we've discovered it, I touch and feel it. Sounds weird right? Well the last week or so we've noticed the lump getting smaller. So I left a message for the surgeon to call me a.s.a.p. I spoke to him around 3:15 p.m. today and told him my concerns. He said that we will go ahead and cancel the surgery. It was a relief to hear that because the lump and surgery were on my mind constantly. We will continue to monitor the lump [like we have been doing everyday!] . If it begins to grow again, we'll be seeing the specialist yet again.

All is calm!

Party Pooper!
All is calm..............for now! We've returned from Ca and boy did it take us awhile to re-cooperate. I still feel a bit tired [just like Joey in the picture above] but better than I felt earlier this week. It always very exhausting going on a road trip with 3 kids. We did so much in 6 days that I don't think we'll be back for awhile. We also missed daddy alot and he missed us even more! He said he'll divorce me if I leave again. I don't think he was serious because he knows I have a few trips planned for this summer like our godson's birthday and Disneyland.
Joseph and Christina

Well we met with the surgeon on Monday [after driving back from Victorville] and he said Joey will need surgery. Its already been scheduled for the beginning of May. I also took him to the Dr. yesterday because he's been getting headaches. The Dr. said it could be one of 3 things

1. Stress from the upcoming surgery

2. He needs eye glasses

3. Hereditary

Vinny and his Llama friend

He loves animals.....well he loves stuffed animals and fell in love with this llama that was in Keira's nursery. He was good at my in-laws house but was a wild man at my moms. He likes to play all the instruments at my moms house like the piano, violin, and guitars. My sister Maria is the musician in the family. She's been nagging me to put Vinny in guitar lessons. While in Ca, I also got to spend some time with my friends that I met throught Moms Club. I've known these ladies since 2005 and have become life long friends with some of them. This is a great club to join if your a stay-at-home mom and are super bored. They have playgroups, field trips, meetings.....so much to list its worth joining. My friend Jamie is trying to convince me to start a chapter here.

THE MARATHON MAN!!!

I finally got a chance to watch my dad run in a 10K in Newport Beach on Sunday morning. We woke up at O'dark 30 to watch him run his 6 miles. It was awesome and inspirational!!!

My kids and I

It was drizzling that morning so we brought blankets to keep us warm.

The Finish Line

He finished the 10K in about 1 hour and 8 minutes. The clock in the picture was for the kids 5K run.

My new hair-do!

I decided last year to let my hair grow out again. When the boys were born my hair was almost to my behind. So then I decided I needed something new since my hair is always long. Its a bit shorter than I'm used to and I also got short layers. I really like it alot! Here is the end result. This picture is going to be framed on the wall along with individual shots of the kids and Gabriel. I am horrible at home decorating but have decided its time to buckle down and get started on doing some decorating. I bought a mirror last week and a few other goodies for the walls of my home. Once I finish some projects, I will post pics. Happy Thursday, stay delicious, and I hope your all happy and healthy!
