36 minutes 25 seconds. That's how long it took me to run the 5K Turkey Run on Thanksgiving morning. Just to be exact, 5K is 3.1 miles. It had rained the day before but that morning was just a bit cold....no rain!

I had a blast running! I kept thinking "I'm not going to die I'm not going to die". Running is not easy....regardless of your training level.

I also got a medal for placing 3rd in the womens age group [20-29]. I am going to continue to run and hopefully do another 5K soon.

Practicing for a 5K

This morning, my running partner and I did a practice run for the 5K. We were emailed info. on the course and decided to run it. I know she'll be about 10 minutes ahead of me but we ran it in 37 minutes. My goal is to do it in 35 minutes or less. Wish me lots of luck!!!!!

TWILIGHT

The day finally came!!! Christina and I headed to Vegas early this morning. First stop, Target [of course]. We then had brunch at a casino and then headed up to the theatres.


We were the first ones in the theatre. It was pretty full not completely sold out. The movie was great! I was so happy with all the character selections. Edward was perfect and Bella needed alittle more personality. The Cullens were all so stunning!


It was officially announced today that the 2nd installment of the series, New Moon, will start production soon. Can you tell I really have enjoyed all this Twilight madness! I am just happy I could share that with someone.

Vinny was playing hide 'n go seek and while hiding, found this little fella. I was in the kitchen cooking and all I could hear were high pitched screams of terror and misery. He said there was a huge spider and that it almost killed him. So Prince Charming got home from work and went to investigate [because I was too chicken]. He found it and I told him to snap some pictures of it. So while I was inside putting the camera away, he "took care" of the little fella with the tip of his steel toe boots.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Its been really busy around my household in the last week or so. We were in Ca last weekend, Gabriel's b-day was Wednesday, I've been running [training for the 5K] and taking some training classes for a new job. Yup, you heard that right, I am now a Behavior Interventionist. I will be working one-on-one with my friends son, who is autistic. This is such a wonderful opportunity because my heart has always been with children of special needs. Most of the jobs I've held, before the kids were born, were working with adults or high school kids with special needs. We have Twilight coming out next weekend and you know that's been a hot topic in my house the last few days. We'll be watching it on Saturday. Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Sunday!

HALLOWEEN FUN!

Halloween was a blast! I dressed up as a witch. Here I am flying away!!!
We all got in the Halloween spirit. Gabe was a hobo who was shot several times [OUCH!], I was a witch, Christina was a semi-football player, Vinny was Iron Man, and Joey was a Blue M&M.
