I can't believe its February already!!! So I've had my blog for almost one year now. Please don't hesitate to leave a comment so I know you came by. I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm off to the Close to my Heart Regionals tomorrow. Can't wait! I'd take a picture of the layouts I did but my camera seems to be in one of its moods. I might have to go out and buy me a new one :)

Crazy Pregnant Woman gives birth, I saw America Ferrera at the Vegas airport, and I only got 4 hours of sleep!!!!!

Sit down and grab your favorite beverage and snack. I have an awesome story to tell to you! This all began more than 48 hours ago....................

My sister called me Wednesday morning to tell me she was having contractions. Jonas drove her to the hospital and was admitted because they checked her and she was already 3 cm. dialated. So I waited until 5:00 p.m. to call Southwest to see if there were any flights. Luckly, there was one at 8:05 p.m. So I left my house at 6:25 p.m. and arrive at Las Vegas Airport at 7:05 p.m. That's record time because its normally 1 hr. to get there. So I park and run into the airport. I got on the D gate tram. When I got off, I look at the departing flights and my flight wasn't listed. Then I had remembered it was B. So my crazy butt ended up going to C gate next. I arrived and again remembered that I was at the wrong gate. It was B gate. So finally I got there at 7:45p.m. I was running throughout the whole airport looking for my gate. So I sat down and relaxed for a few. The plane arrived and the passengers got off that flight. I got up and saw someone very familiar getting out of the plane. She was super short and had black hair. It was America Ferrera, star of ABC's Ugly Betty [see pic. below along with the story]. So after meeting her, I went back and got on the plane. The flight was great but as soon as we got into Orange County, it was so windy. We had terrible turbulance [I love turbulance.......just kidding!!!!!] and the plane kept swaying. So we landed and immediately got off the plane. I was picked up by my sister Maria and we proceeded to drive to the hospital. Everyone was shocked to see me. They didn't think I was going to fly in. So I go up to the Labor and Delivery ward and enter my sisters room. She was pretty comfortable and happy to see me. Well let me tell you that the happiness turned to craziness in a matter of 2 hours.

Jonas wanted to rest before the party started!!!! The nurse checked her at 11:30 p.m. and she was 6 cm. She kept saying she was feeling all the contractions. So the anesthesiologist came in and gave her a "bolis". I am going to take a wild guess and say that's a drug cocktail. So after 11:30 p.m. my poor sister was getting super strong contractions every minute. I felt so bad for her. So the nurse comes back an hour later and checks her....she was 9 cm. So she went from 6 to 9 in one hour!!! Jonas and I stood by her bedside and held her hand during the contractions. She was squeezing my hand so tight that I had to remove my wedding rings because my fingers swelled up. Poor me :(

She still was in a lot of pain. When she was complete, the nurse had her push to see how long she might be pushing for. Well it seemed like the baby was coming really fast. They called the doctor around 1:00 a.m. and he didn't arrive until 2:15 a.m. Isela kept telling Jonas and I to shut up. I didn't say anything because she was the boss at that time!

The doc. scrubbed up and had her push. She had only pushed 4 times when the baby's head came out, my sister let out a loud, bloody murder, I am going to die, help me, what the he** am I doing, I'm going to stab you scream!!!! One more push and she got what she's been wanting the last 9 months......

Everyone....meet Keira Cabrera!! This little diva made her grand entrance on the runway at 2:32 a.m.

She weighted 6 lbs. 4 oz. and measured in at 18 1/2 inches. She cried for about an hour and a half after she entered our world.

I have to say the whole experience was out-of-this world! I am so glad I got to share those special moments with Isi and Jonas. Even though she told me to shut up and hurt my poor little hand, I still love her, Jonas, and little K.C. So we all left the hospital at 4:00 a.m. and went back to mom's for a quick nap. I woke up at 8:00 a.m. We had breakfast, went to Costco, and went back to the hospital. I came home last night and arrived back on Vegas territory at 9. I will finally get some good shut-eye tonight. I am going to give the kids lots of candy, cookies, and soda so they can stay up late and we can all sleep in tomorrow. Well mabye not that much :)

So here I am, with America Ferrera. I love Ugly Betty! Those darn writer strike people better come up with some good deal soon. I miss Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives :( Anyway, she encouraged me to vote for Hilary Clinton. She was in town to help campaign for HC and even gave me her Hilary pin. She pinned it on my jacket. She is petite and has such a beautiful face! She wished me luck and then we went our separate ways!!! I hope you enjoyed the story! I am making this event a big deal because it was about time one of my sisters, besides me, had kids! Welcome to motherhood and welcome Keira to the family!!!

Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Ours was a little chaotic but we survived :) This cute Santa suit had a little surprise in it. A Hershey's chocolate bar! I made 7, all for Crissy's teachers. They were pretty easy to make. I saw this idea online and decided it was too cute not to do. Enjoy your New Year and reflect on the wonderful blessings of 2007!!!!!!!

Joseph's Christmas Program

Everyone is going to kill me for not having more memory space left in my camera. Sorry! Hey, how about one of you buy me a camcorder for X-mas! Well anyway 6 seconds is better than nothing...we had a great time watching Joey sing at his pre-school Christmas program last night. He's so cute! Gabriel and I are so proud of our little guy! By the way, if you can't spot him, he is next to the little girl with the big pink ribbon on her hair :) Enjoy!!!!!!

WATCH OUT....................

13-year old who knows it all, loves to shop, now wears lipgloss has officially entered the room! She's a TEENAGER!!!!! YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Time flies and its so nice to see Christina grow up and turn into such an awesome young lady. We love you Chokey!

8 weeks and counting.......

Last weekend was my sisters baby shower!!! She has 8 weeks left until little peanut makes her grand entrance. I made her the cutest scrapbook. It was a pink 12x12 album with 30 pages. I made it in less than 3 weeks. Lets just say I spent alot of time in my scrapbook room creating away. I've gotten pretty good at creating pages pretty fast. I will get pictures of it to share with everyone.

I've been a bad blogger lately! Sorry folks! I wanted to wish everyone a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

I am thankful for so many things this year...

1. my healthy family

2. our home...we had a great transition into our new home.

3. extended family that has always been there for us. We have been very blessed.

4. our children...that they may continue to grow with God, be themselves, and accomplish the goals they set for themselves.

5. our friends

6. our jobs

7. I am so thankful for the angels that come down and touch our lives in times of need.

8. my scrapbook stuff...it sounds alittle selfish but it does save me when I am stressed. Its my stress reliever :)

9. For the yummy food we'll be eating later.

10. I am so thankful for another year with my family.
