I am a Banana!!!

You Are a Banana
You are mellow, easy going, and a total softie on the inside.
People find it really easy to get along with you. You suit most tastes.

And while you're very sweet, you're not boring or ordinary.
You have an attraction to the exotic, and you could show up anywhere... doing almost anything!

You are spirited, energetic, and a total kick to be around.
You're also quite funny. Your sense of humor is on the goofy side, and it fits you well.

Ugliest Shoe Award goes to.....

I browse the internet alot and always find some odd things. Like the one time I was on the Barneys website....I found a pair of shoes for $4K! Ouch! So I came across these horrendous looking things. If you look closely at the price, they are $80! Even if they were giving them out for free I wouldn't take them.

Wild Vinny at Wild Rivers

Finally! It took me almost 30 minutes to download this video. I wanna share this because Vinny is barely learning how to swim. Being the daredevil that he is, he kept begging me to get on a slide. I was not liking the idea of a 6 year old going down this HUGE slide. I asked the lifeguard to keep a close eye on him. This was actually the 2nd time he had gone on it. The lifeguard said to give him a break because he looked really tired.

If you see me absent from my blog in the next few days, please excuse my computer. She's having some sort of internal problems [personally I think its that time of the month]. I am lucky I was able to go here tonight. When I turn the computer on, the monitor says VGA Input: Not active. We have the worse luck with computers. Oh well! Have a great weekend!!!

Vacation Boot Camp

We are back!!! First thing first...we all got haircuts the same day we arrived in California. That's one thing I am super picky about...family haircuts. Luckly, I've found a salon next to my dad's photo shop. This gals cuts our hair so good. She does the boys, Christina, and myself. I love love love her! And guess how much she charged me........$36 for all of us. Not bad! I used to pay $120 for my hair alone years ago. You guys like Vinny's new do??? Well that's really not his new cut, I wanted to take a pic. because he looked so funny.
If you don't know my mom, here is alittle background. She is a 50-something, quiet, petite lady. She's a health freak and eats almost 100% organic foods for all her meals. She is always trying to get us [her adult daughters] to live healthier lives by exercising and having better diets. So Thursday morning, we got up and ran to the park. We ran about 3-4 laps around the park. I told her "Mom I came down to relax not to do Boot Camp". She's right though about living healthier lives.
We also spent some time with Keira. Here she is with big cousin Christina! Girls rule!
Oh yeah, we went to see the Jonas Brothers in concert.................just kidding! I wish! I have a secret crush on Joe....thanks to my teenage daughter, sister, and niece.

We went to Wild Rivers. It was lots of fun! We also went to the O.C. Fair. That is Vinny, Christina, and Cindy on the log ride. The girls went on many roller coasters....the boys went on a few. Brave kids !
Vinny strolling along with grandpa. We went back to our cars and come to find out, his car was almost broken into. Shame on you people!!!
More boys! That's my nephew slash godson, Jacob, in the middle. Vinny and Jacob were not getting along but I did find them together, giggling the morning before we left. Another successful trip to CA!!!

Nevada vs. California

I got up at 4:30 a.m. today to get everything ready for my trip to California. First things first, I did what I normally do everyday at 4:30a.m............maKe gabriel's coffee. I would of gone bacK to bed but I had to finishing pacKing my stuff and the boys stuff. Christina pacKed up her own bags the night before. What a good girl :) Then I sweeped and mopped my entire house, washed the dishes, put them away, checKed my email, did 2 loads of laundry, hooKed up the DVD's in the car, loaded the car, pacKed up some water and snacKs, got the boys ready, cooKed up some waffles, and FINALLY left at 7:45 a.m. 45 minutes behind schedule. It was beginning to get hot when we left Nevada.....it was almost 100'. 4 hours later we arrive in Irvine, California and the weather is anything but hot. It was 74'!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it. I haven't seen the 70's in about 2 months. What a difference!

Bells Palsy

It all started on Monday, when she got home from babysitting. She was complaining about her eye. She said she got a cat hair in it and kept rubbing it. I told her to stop rubbing it. Fast forward to Wednesday. Christina drinks from a soda can and the soda comes out of her mouth. She uses a straw and the darn soda won't stay in her mouth.....it trinkles out. I asked her to look at me and smile and I see a serious problem. Her right side of the lip won't move. Its pretty much numb!!! Then her eye had gotten worse over the last few days. I call and make an appointment with our Dr. So we go and the Dr. said its Bells Palsy. If your not sure what B.P. is it is a condition that paralyzes part of your face. The Doc asks us if she has had any trauma to her lately and we said no. We haven't gone anywhere...we've been home swimming. She said its temporary paralyzes and that she'll refer us to a neurologist. This has been a scary year for us as far as the kids health. First Joseph with his lump in his neck now Christina with this. AAAAAAHHHHH!!!! She didn't want to fully smile in this picture because she doesn't like the way her lip moves. Poor little mama! She'll be fine.
So Keira [my 5 1/2 mth. old niece] and the gang showed up. The gang consist of Isela [my older sis], Jonas [her hubby], and Cindy [little sis]. We swam and I cooked some yummy food. They loved it!!! Here is Keira after we went for a dip in the pool.
She quickly feel asleep in my arms outside. We came in and I set her down on my sofa. Look how small she looks all wrapped up!!! Today we had our good friends Ted & Lisa [from Ca] come over for a swim. Ted's brother lives here in town. They might be moving down here which would be so awesome. My brother-in-law and 2 nephews are due to arrive shortly too! Our little buddy Rennen will also be joining us for some red, white, and blue fun!!! It'll be a fun filled weekend with family and friends. Have a safe 4th of July!!!
